Air Vents, Wing Mirrors, Windscreen Wipers & Washers

Before removing the windscreen to cut holes for the heater air vents I fitted the wing mirrors. I am really happy with the style of these, however they are not IVA complaint, so I will have to revert to different ones for the test. 

I moved on to installing the windscreen wipers, I marked up 10" from the centre, cut holes at an angle and then used a file to open them out enough to get the wipers through. I had to trim a little bit off the plastic spacers underneath to allow enough thread to screw the nut on. I will revisit all of this fairly soon as I still need to fit the wiper motor. 

I fitted the washer jets and will come back to this when I am ready to run the hoses from the washer bottle.

I then removed the windscreen, drilled holes to fit the windscreen escutcheons and centre stay and then set about cutting the holes for the heater air vents. It's really nice to get some of the brightwork on the Cobra, even if it does all need to come off again prior to paint!

I also fitted the vacuum hose from the engine to the servo.
