Dashboard Gauge Wiring Info - Note: Wiring info for Savage Switches, Dash Lights & Ignition Barrel to follow in next blog....
Detailed wiring info and diagrams
Tacho - It states in the manual that the Red/Blue wire (signal to Tacho) goes to the Pink wire on the six pin plug (connecting to AK Loom). However the Red/Blue needs to go to the White wire from the Canems Loom. To keep this tidy I decided to take the Pink wire out of the AK Loom (6 pin plug) and replace with the White wire from the Canems Loom. Purple is for brightness control and goes with the purple wire via the Speedo (2 wires connecting to the function/setup switch - brightness control). Black runs to the Earth bus bar, Green runs to the Power bus bar, Red/White runs to the Illumination bus bar. The White/Black and Brown wires are not used.
Speedo - Red/Blue (speed signal input 2 wire inductive sensor) needs to go to my Black wire that I have run from the side of the gearbox. As the Brown/Black (Oil Pressure Light) on the AK loom 11 pin plug is not being used (Note: not used as the Brown wire from the Canems loom goes to the Oil Pressure Light) I have taken this off and replaced it with my Black wire from the side of the gearbox. The other Black wire (it doesn't matter which one goes to which) from the gearbox needs to be earthed (Placed on Earth point created to the right of the AK relays) Brown wire (Speed signal input 3) not used. Yellow wire (Speed signal input 3) not used, Black from the speedo runs to the Earth bus bar, Green runs to the Power bus bar, Red/White runs to the Illumination bus bar. Purple is for brightness control and goes with the (2 wires connecting to the function/setup switch - brightness control, the other from the Tacho).
Volts - There are two Brown wires connected to the Volta gauge, one is from the right hand spade terminal marked 'to ground (-ve)' and runs to my Earth bus bar. The other Brown runs to my Earth bus bar from the spade terminal marked 'earth terminal for illumination bulb' and is daisy chained between each gauge (Volts, Oil, Water, Fuel).Red runs to my Power bus bar and is daisy chained between each gauge (Volts, Oil, Water, Fuel). Black/White runs to my Illumination bus bar from the spade terminal marked 'positive feed from illumination circuit' and is daisy chained between each gauge (Volts, Oil, Water, Fuel).
Oil - Brown/White from the AK Loom 11 pin plug (Oil Pressure) connected to the right hand spade terminal marked 'signal input from sensor'. Red runs to my Power bus bar and is daisy chained between each gauge (Volts, Oil, Water, Fuel). Black/White runs to my Illumination bus bar from the spade terminal marked 'positive feed from illumination circuit' and is daisy chained between each gauge (Volts, Oil, Water, Fuel). Brown runs to my Earth bus bar from the spade terminal marked 'earth terminal for gauge and illumination bulb' and is daisy chained between each gauge (Volts, Oil, Water, Fuel).
Water - Red/Orange from the AK Loom 8 pin plug (Temperature) connected to the right hand spade terminal connector marked 'signal input from sensor'.
Fuel - Black/Green from the AK Loom 8 pin plug (Fuel) connected to the right hand spade terminal marked 'signal input from sensor'.
