Front Splitter fitted, Exhausts back on, and Side Vents in place..

I had taken the front splitter off prior to paint and I was hoping the inside section where this sits was going to be sprayed as well. This was not the case so I set about painting it in black hammerite, I think it actually looks fine especially with now the splitter is back in place..

Before tackling the side vents I decided to refit the exhausts. I drilled another hole in each of the exhaust brackets and drilled and tapped holes in to the chassis once the exhausts were all back in place. This may be a bit overkill however I didn't think it would do any harm. I added exhaust cement to the J-Pipes and slid the exhausts in place (the exhausts already had the cats welded in place), I then spread more around the joints before tightening up the u-shaped brackets, hopefully both sides are well sealed!

Now the exhausts are in place I am moving on to the side vents. I drilled 2 holes in the top and bottom sections of the side vents then screwed in a block of hard wood (around 12mm in depth) to enable the side vents to sit flush with the body. I used P38 to fix the side vents in place and made up a very basic wood frame to ensure the vents didn't protrude outside of the body. They are both now in place and I am pleased with how they look...
