Pedal Box, Brake Servo, Clutch Master Cylinder

We supplied AK with the Electronic Throttle Pedal for the CANEMS ECU and this was fitted by AK prior to delivery. With the AK Gen3 model a section of the bodywork in the drivers footwell needs to be  temporarily cut out. This is due to the body being too tight to fit on the chassis with this section in place. This will be fibreglassed/resined back in place once the body is on for it's final fitting. This hole did however provide just enough space to get my arm in to do all the nuts up, it would have been a hell of a job otherwise!  The space available to get the Brake Servo in, between the wheel arch and body, is very tight however I did manage to squeeze it in place without having to take it apart! Both the pedal box and brake servo are now bolted in place with washers placed either side and nylocs used so there is no possibility of them loosening. I have temporarily bolted the Clutch Master Cylinder in place (I had to cut down the top bolt slightly to allow it to fit in place correctly) whilst I work out what I do with the Push Rod Clevis.. The Clevis is supposed to fit either side of the clutch pedal however the gap between the two forks is not wider enough! I think it's probably back to Merlin motorsports to purchase a wider one!

Below is the Clevis that is too narrow!

Other than resolving the Clevis issue my next job is to fit the engine bobbins on the chassis as Brian at RoadcraftUK has been in touch to let me know that my engine and gearbox are now ready! Expecting collection date to be Tuesday 4th October. It will certainly be exciting getting the engine and gearbox in my Cobra...
