Headlamps / Bonnet Catches / Terminals from Canems Loom to Starter Motor corrected..

Headlamps

After taking the front headlamp apart I got the light bucket (not sure what it is called) level and then drilled holes for the adjustment bolts. There are two of these that go through the bodywork, one at the very top and one to the left hand side, there is also one other that fixes through the headlamp surround in to the bucket. Drilling these holes first allows you to place the headlamp bucket up against the body making it easier to mark and drill the 4 holes that fix it all in place. I fitted the headlamp in the bucket and added the headlamp rim. I do still need to shorten the cable and place decent fittings on the ends however I will do this when I start on the wiring loom.

It's actually starting to look like it's ready for the road, but still a fair way off!

Bonnet Catches

I had already fitting the bonnet locks and just needed to drill the holes for the self tapping screws. These are really close to the edge of the hole cut out for the bonnet handle/lock so extra care is needed... I made up L shaped brackets and bolted/riveted these in place. They work really well.

Starter Motor

When I connected up the cables/terminals from the Canems loom I thought the '2 x ring terminal to permanent 12v supply' went to each connection on the starter motor? I am not sure why I thought this however I have now corrected it! Both of these ring terminals connect to the same stud, the one that also has the permanent feed from the battery...
