Heater Hoses
So I don't know if it's just me but I have found fitting the heater hoses to be a real pain. I think it is partly due to the lack of access and also the numerous jubilee clips you end up using! My decided route was to run the hoses under the engine mount and then bringing them up in front of the starter motor. I set about cutting the hoses to the correct length, making the top part of the 90 degree hoses (where they attach to the side of the engine) a lot shorter so they drop down in a better location. I moved one of my earth straps so I could make use of this space with a bracket I had made. I used this to cable tie the hoses up and keep them out of the way. I added a small p-clip to the back of the engine mount bracket and cable tied them here too, then put in place a breather pipe in the top hose by the back of the heater box. At the back of the engine there are a few M10 bolt holes that are not used so I made another bracket to hold the heater hoses in place around the rear of the engine. I also used this bracket to add a p-clip to hold in place the vacuum hose that runs from the engine to the servo.
I am very pleased that this job is now done....
