Time for my Cobra to go for Paint!

I spent Tuesday finishing off the jobs left to do prior to paint. I drilled holes for the roll bar escutcheons, removed the remainder of the brightwork and tiger sealed the section of fibreglass in the drivers footwell. I had previously fixed this in place with some P38 however I wanted to ensure there was no chance of any water ingress. I also tiger sealed the holes where the fuel line and breather pipe run through to the boot and where the power cable and AK loom runs through to the engine bay and rear wheel arch/boot.

It was then time to load up my car in Alan's trailer ready for our journey to SMS Autospray. It was really good to meet both Steve and Mick (SMS Autospray) in person and we talked through all the points we needed to with regards to prep and paint. We then headed off for our overnight stay in a lovely old pub called The Queens Head in Nassington. It was great to have a few beers and a nice meal after the long journey up here! We made a brief stop at AK Sportscars in the morning prior to heading off home. It's now time to get Alans Cobra ready for the return trip to SMS Autospray in around 5 weeks time!
